# WP Proof documentation

WP Proof is a WordPress plugin that shows social-proof popups on the front of a site. You build popups, put them in a sequence, and choose which pages that sequence shows on.

## The four pieces

1. **Proof element** — one popup.
2. **Proof tree** — the sequence those popups play in, and **where** they show. A tree assigned to a page is enough for popups to appear.
3. **Page view tracker** (optional) — counts unique visits to chosen pages. Used by “how many people…” popups.
4. **Split test** (optional) — randomly pick a tree or show nothing, and record views, clicks, and form submits.

You do not need a split test for popups to show.

## What you can show

There are five proof element types:

- Review
- Text / Call To Action
- WooCommerce Sales
- Page Views
- Custom
