# Where popups show

On a proof tree or a split test, pick one of these three modes.

## Selected Pages

Only the URLs you pick. Use this when you only want a short list of specific pages (home, about, one landing page).

## Pages in These Categories

Any page or post in the categories you pick. This is the easy way to do groups of pages.

Example: every AC page is in an **AC** category, every heating page is in **Heating**. Two trees: one on AC, one on Heating.

Full walkthrough: [Different proof on groups of pages](/docs/categories).

## All Except Selected Pages

Everywhere but the pages you exclude. If you do not exclude any pages, it shows on every page.

There can only be one all-except tree at a time.

## If more than one could apply

If more than one of these could fit a page, WP Proof uses whichever matches first, in this order:

1. A split test on this exact page
2. A split test on this page’s categories
3. An all-except split test
4. A tree on this exact page
5. A tree on this page’s categories
6. An all-except tree

If a split test and a proof tree both match a page, the split test is the one that shows.
