WP Proof documentation

WP Proof is a WordPress plugin that shows social-proof popups on the front of a site. You build popups, put them in a sequence, and choose which pages that sequence shows on.

To get it on a WordPress site, see Install WP Proof.

The four pieces

  1. Proof element — one popup.
  2. Proof tree — the sequence those popups play in, and where they show. A tree assigned to a page is enough for popups to appear.
  3. Page view tracker (optional) — counts unique visits to chosen pages. Used by “how many people…” popups.
  4. Split test (optional) — randomly pick a tree or show nothing, and record views, clicks, and form submits.

You do not need a split test for popups to show.

What you can show

There are five proof element types:

  • Review
  • Text / Call To Action
  • WooCommerce Sales
  • Page Views
  • Custom

Custom is how BBB, NATE, factory authorization, awards, and years in business get built.
